Family Related Books

The choice of these books do not dictate what the traits of a person with BPD are or whether you should stay in the relationship or not. See the DSM IV. "BPD relationships" can be quite successful when two people are both working on recovery.

Reader:  "The Encyclopedia for Psychologists. This book really shows how to recognize and work with children with personality disorders It truly amazed me...I could relate to what the book is about because one of my children has a personality disorder.
Overall, it's one of the best books on that subject.

Emotional Blackmail: When the People in Your Life Use Fear, Obligation, and Guilt to Manipulate You by Susan Forward, Donna Frazier

I Hate You, Don't Leave Me by Dr. Jerold Kreisman

Kreisman has a brand new book out in 2004 called "Sometimes I Act Crazy."
